I recently finished a project where the client was the board of a private club. It was my first client of this type and their way of approaching the project was also new to me.
They shared their needs from a different perspective, rather than talking to me about renders, finishes, aesthetics, etc., the purpose of their project was for the members to understand what they were seeing. They needed something more attractive than a 2D plan and that could be better understood.
Basically, it was a renovation project for the club's facilities, where the areas to be renovated are publicly used with little visual appeal in terms of architecture or materials.
I understood that showing renders of public restrooms where 5 or 6 WC doors and several shower doors would be visible would come off as very poor and could be unclear for the members.
I thought that the best way would be to use the interactive modules we offer for companies, construction firms, etc.
To put a before/after of the plans and then use the renovation project plan as an image with hotspots to show the renders, this way the members could understand more clearly where and how the renovation would be executed.
The way to present it was clear, but the problem was that despite the club having a website, it was not structured in a way that adding such modules would be practical or coherent with the information displayed. What is the point of showing renovation information on a public website where everyone has access and where very different information is also shown? They could create a dedicated space, protected by a slug or token, but of course, for that, they depend on another provider which would increase the project's cost and it also had to be done before the meeting. Impossible.
To provide them with the best service, I made the decision. I would prepare a landing page for them, hosted on my server, personalized with their logo and corporate colors, obviously including the mentioned modules and all the information they considered interesting for the presentation, secure and with access through a personalized slug that only they know.
While I was creating the website, I thought that this problem of presenting images could occur with many clients: architects, real estate agencies, small developers, interior designers, etc. For all, it can be very interesting to present renders through interactive modules, but they can all face the problem of where and how to publish them.
And thus, the new service was born. If you want renders and also want to present them in a professional, attractive, modern, and designed way, don’t make a presentation in Canva or PowerPoint, use a website! Zero complications, accessible at any time from anywhere.
