Idear v2.0. Radical UI overhaul

11 September 2026

Idear was born from a fairly simple need: to centralize all the information generated around a creative project in one place.

Briefs, references, images, revisions, comments, files, clients, collaborators… In architectural visualization projects, it is very easy for all that information to end up scattered across emails, WhatsApp conversations, folders, links and different tools.

The first version of Idear already tried to solve part of that problem. But real-world use quickly showed that there was room to go much further.

That is how Idear 2.0 was born.

Not as a simple redesign, but as a much deeper evolution of the platform.

From project archive to workspace

One of the main changes has been understanding that a project should not simply be a place to store images and documents.

Idear 2.0 aims to become the space from which the entire project is organized: clients, contacts, collaborators, suppliers, briefs, deliveries, revisions and communication.

A lot of work has also gone into the way information is displayed and analyzed, with improved statistics that make it easier to understand what is happening within each project and across the studio as a whole.

A simpler relationship with the client

Another area that has evolved significantly is Client Mode.

The idea is that clients can review a delivery without having to learn how to use a project management tool.

They simply open a link, view the images, move between them, leave comments and take part in the review process.

All within a much more controlled environment than an endless email thread.

This also keeps the internal workspace separate from what the client sees.

AI as an integrated tool

Idear also includes a range of tools powered by artificial intelligence.

But the goal has never been to add AI simply because it is fashionable.

The aim is to integrate it where it can genuinely save time or assist the creative process: image analysis, visual variations, image transformation, information organization and support during specific stages of a project.

AI becomes part of the workflow rather than an external tool that constantly forces information to move in and out of the platform.

Built for working with people

Idear 2.0 also expands the different roles that can take part in a project.

Clients, collaborators, suppliers and team members can access only the information they actually need.

The objective is to keep the project centralized even when many different people are involved.

Smaller but important everyday tools have also been added, including voice notes, contact management and new ways of organizing and browsing projects.

A tool that keeps evolving

Idear was initially created to solve problems I encountered every day in my own work as a 3D artist.

Over time, it has also become a way of exploring what the tools used by creative professionals could look like.

Idear 2.0 is an important step in that direction.

Fewer disconnected tools, less lost information and one shared space where project, team and client can work in a much clearer way.
